Not So New, New Shoes

Hello! I know I mentioned earlier this week Sparkles and Shoes would be filled with tales of Spain this week but today I have a little break. Do you ever get a pair of shoes, realize they are your favorite, and then wear the heck out of them?  Well let me tell you, I do, and then Sam Edelman booties have been one of my favorites for the last two and a half years.  They get thrown into rotation many time a month and have been to Seattle, Barcelona, Los Angels, Florida, London, and Madrid as well as New York City – quite the traveling shoes and perfect for this week not only of Spain posts but also of me traveling.   Take a look at these booties: 

After 50 wears I got them resoled at the cobbler last Sprinf and it was about the 75th wear I realized the gorgeous polka dot detailing on the heel was starting to wear off.  However, it was not until last week, about the 100th wear, that I noticed one of the amazing spikes broke off that I realized they had bit the dust.  The first photo below is the old bootie on the left and the new on the right, so new and clean! And the second photo is the broken stud, rip ;( 

Almost three years ago now I had originally purchased them for $100 from Nordstrom and was more than willing to pay that agian but a quick Google search told me for some magical reason these Circus by Sam Edelman ‘Holt’ Booties were only $39 from Amazon in this gorgeous black and white color pattern. Gleyfully I hit purchase and thanks to the godsend that is Prime shipping there were in my hands before the week is out.
