Every year my friend Tara has an annual cookie swap and every year I have a great time. The first time I went I wore an ugly sweater and made Peppermint Oreo Balls cookies, the next year I made Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Truffles, last year I chose my traditional all black ensemble and made Shortbread Cookies, and this year I went for Peppermint shortbread cookies. I found this recipe off of Pinterest and made my own adaptation of these peppermint melt in your mouth cookie.

I am quite pleased with how these Peppermint Melt Cookies and that I was able to find candy canes in the first store I checked. If you follow me on Snapchat you know I cut it a little close, starting baking at 3:30pm for an 8pm party but I made it just in time! The sixth annual Tacky Christmas Cookies Swap was a blast, per usual, and I can not believe it has already been four years! The winner for best cookie in my opinion, also won the price which were those adorable snowman pops with little Reese’s Peanut Butter cups as hats, so delicious!
What is your favorite Christmas Cookie recipe?
