Baked Brie with Fig and Almonds

When I entertain I love to not only serve delicious cocktails, like Aperol Spritz or a Citrus Champagne Cocktail, but appetizers that are crowd pleasers.  For my 7th Annual Classy Cocktail Party last month in addition to dipping strawberries in Ghirardelli I had chocolate covered raisins, peanut butter filled pretzels, and Baked Brie with fig and almonds for guests to nibble on.

This easy appetizer is sweet, salty, and gooey all at the same time – a treat everyone is sure to love – and it is easy to make which is even better.  The day before the party I picked up brie from Trader Joe’s, where I had gone to buy the wine, and then headed to my favorite grocery store to buy organic fig jam, almonds, and baguette chips.
