Yesterday after a morning spin class at Monster Cycle, which reaffirmed my dislike of house music, I had another delicious brunch in Soho which was inhaled too quickly to be photographed. Afterwards my friend and I popped into half a dozen stores on Broadway where she was successful in purchasing two new pairs of jeans and I left empty handed on my quest for a body suit.
We went to Necessary Clothing and while they had a few styles of what I was looking for you were not able to try them on and with an item where fit is especially important I decided to pass. What I am really looking for is a formfitting option ala the Kardashian girls above. A great black leotard bodysuit is on the top of my “must have” list especially as the weather warms up and I will have more opportunites to dig into my plethora of high waisted skirts.
A great body suit would provide a snug fit from shoulder to hip walking the fine line between too tight and too loose. I have been on the lookout for a while now but my need has become great with my weight loss as I have found my usual black tops simply ride up. After my unsuccessful attempts yesterday I came home and did some research – these are eight options I now have my eye on:
Cosabella Fetherston Turtleneck Bodysuit and Cosabella Fetherston Halter-Neck Bodysuit
Wolford Pure String Bodysuit and Wolford Jamaika String Bodysuit
ASOS Vest Body In Rib in White and Black
Free People Stretch Cotton Leotard Bodysuit and Cosabella Plunging Neck Teddy
Unlike yesterday’s shopping trip in Soho not only will I be able to order and then try on any of these options but I will also be able to pair them with the skirts in question to make sure they are a good fit – something I am very much looking forward to. Along with the eight above there are also three others, found here, here, and here from the brand Commando that I also piqued my interest. Now I just need to decide how much I want to spend as these options range from $21 to $130.
Do you have a leotard style bodysuit?

I’ve got over 10 from Wolford…yeah seems a lot but I only get them on sale or from outlets, so I’ll pay around £20-40 (equivalent to $30-60) for classic pieces such as the Colorado or Berlin. Having owned others which are often priced, must say Wolford are in a different class, so soft and comfortable, they don’t ever dig in, with my second choice preference being American Apparel but they come ups small in size. The Cosabella ones look good but I’ve not got my hands on one yet so I can’t comment, but cheaper ones tend to be scratchy in the worst place imaginable.
Oh one more note, you can also find Wolford Red Label at various designer outlets which is a really competitively priced option, and in my opinion better than the Pure mainly because Red Label have sleeves finished traditionally, wheras Pure sleeves are laser cut and don’t like to stay in place.

This is something I’m definitely lacking from my wardrobe! I totally want one though! So much cleaner looking than a regular tucked-in top. Although the whole going to the bathroom thing might be an issue… haha

I’ve been wanting to buy one myself too. The Cosabella V-neck is to die for, I’d get that one!
