Pastel Coats on Hanger

After all of those beautiful fall weather days in November and December New York City finally got the winter memo and for the most part the temperatures have been quite chilly here in the Big Apple.  While I much prefer 80 and sunny, I have liked the opportunity to pull out all of my hats, mittens, scarves, and earmuffs and spending a few moments bundling to the nines before stepping foot outside my apartment.

I have two beautiful long coats that are black and hit mid-calf, perfect for sub freezing temperatures, but I have been lusting after a number of pastel coats that I’ve passed on my commute.  Sure, it is cold but why not off set the chilly temperature with a pretty pale pink or blue instead of the standard black? It makes the handful of chic New York fashionistas stand out in a great way! As I am walking too fast and have too many layers on to snap a picture this is what I mean:
