Grown Up Backpacks

I love when friends know about my blog and ask me about the biggest trends or something in the fashion world that would surprise them.  Something that I share, like Stuart Weitzman Highland Over the Knee Boots, that everyone knows about whereas others, like adult coloring books, seem to be a revelation.  Well, let’s see which way this one goes – backpacks for adults.  Yes, you read that right and no I do not mean a massive North Face Tundra bag – I am talking about cute, chic back backs. Take one of my style icons, Kristina Bazan, for example with her chic Stella McCartney Falabella Shaggy Deer backpack:

Chic, adult backpacks are are not meant to be gym bags but used an alternative to a medium size tote and with two straps the weight of your  kitchen sink bag is distributed evenly, saving your shoulders. Wearing a backpack means you have the ability to hold two coffees, text with two hands, or easily bike to work.  I had a great time putting together this collage (which watching Love Actually, naturally) of my favorite chic, medium sized back packs that are just too cool for school:
