I had a really, really good weekend. Compared to what seemed like everyone else’s family blow-outs I had a low-key Thanksgiving. I had managed to fit in three great workout classes, two movies, one Broadway play, and lots of fun purchases. On Friday alone I checked out at five of my favorite stores, both online and in store.
I thought since it is Cyber Monday I will give you a run down of what I bought and maybe it will inspire you to add some things to your cart today. I had to do a bit of work on Friday but headed to stores a few blocks from my apartment around 5pm and did a few hours of shopping before catching an 8pm showing of Bridge of Spies, which I highly recommend. Here is what I bought:
Gap Polka Dot Fit & Flare Dress: The definition of a classy work dress. I tried this on in store and it fit perfectly in a size that pleasantly surprised me – isn’t it great when you grab two sizes and it is actually the smaller one that fits? 🙂 I like it so much I wore it on Saturday night, pictures to come on Friday!
LOFT Mosaic Paneled Split Neck Blouse: Very pretty, very work appropriate. I grabbed this blouse off the rack because of the pattern and texture and I love that there is no need to accessorize it – perfect for mornings where I am in a rush.
LOFT Modern Sateen Skinny Jeans in Mid Stone Wash and LOFT Curvy Skinny Jeans in Dark Rinse Wash: I actually love LOFT’s jeans. I stumbled upon them three years ago and fell head over heels with the range of fits and washes. Their 50% off sale was too good to pass up so I picked up two pairs from their Upper East Side store.
LOFT Lace Tee Dress in Black and Navy: I wish the website had better photos of this one! The dress has a navy lace overlay on top of a black shell and it is the perfect holiday dress without being too predictable.
And then you get to the bulk of my shopping, the online purchases. With the dozens of sales I listed on Friday it was really hard to pick but I ended up checking out at Nordstrom, Sephora, and Shopbop all of which still have great deals going on. Take a look at what I bought:
Circus by Sam Edelman ‘Holt’ Bootie: Aren’t these just the cutest? I usually do not buy shoes online if I have not tried them on in store but these are adorable booties will be perfect for work and with Nordstrom’s free shipping both ways I figured, why not?
French Connection ‘Ronan’ Bootie: Of all of the things I bought this weekend I am really questioning these and whether I keep them or not will really will depend how they look in person but they have the opportunity to be my new go-to.
SEPHORA COLLECTION Wonderful Dreams 8-Tone Eyeshadow Palette: At work our Secret Santa price limit is $10 so this palette fit the criteria perfectly and one of my work friends, who actually reads my blog, is my Secret Santa. I hope she is excited to get this next Friday (and I really want to keep it for myself).
BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector® Opal Glow On The Go: Another great Sephora find that I purchased as a gift for one of my friends. I have used the illuminator before and it is seriously on-point.
Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional Face Primer – Hands down my absolutely favorite primer and no better time to stock up!
Giorgio Armani Eau De Parfum Sì – I have purchased two of the roller balls, they are perfect for my post-gym, pre-work bag, and now that I have used up most of my Chanel Mademoiselle I splurged on the big bottle of my new favorite perfume.
The best sale of the weekend though is likely the Shopbop sale and one of the only words from college economics I still use – economies of scale. Through the end of the day today they are offering 15% off of orders over $250, if you spend over $500 then it is 20% off and the holy grail (but also a TON of money) 25% off of orders over $1,000. I bought a few items for myself and a few as gifts, the highlights:
Rebecca Minkoff East / West MAB Tote in Port : I love the color, I love the size, and I love the designer. This bag was 50% off on sale on Shopbop making it $147 and then I got an additional 20% off of that so the final price was $118, practically a steal! (And it is still on sale through end-of-day today, happy shopping!)
Rebecca Minkoff Quilted Mini Affair Bag: Saving the best for last because this is arguably my favorite purchase. This is the perfect little crossbody that looks like the Chanel one I want so desperately. I really like that does not look like an evening-only bag and could be great for work or weekend brunch when I am not toting along my gym bag.
