Every one in a while I stop what I am doing – like last night at the gym – and wish that whatever I was doing, that someone was paying me for it. Now don’t get me wrong, I have a full time job that I am very happy with, tweeting, posting, and planning away, but there are quite a few things I do on a weekly, or even daily, basis and I was just thinking, how awesome would it be if I got paid to do them? Off the top of my head I can think of nine things:
Taking Photos
I love taking pictures and I do not care the subject; friends, flowers, children, landscapes – anything. I am by no means a pro but I would love to learn more about the art and improve my skill. Can someone pay me to take photos and more classes like this one?
Taking BuzzFeed Quizzes
I have to avoid the site completely during business hours because as soon as I hit the domain I get sucked in – Buzz Feed has some absolutely amazing quizzes. They are in no way life changers and actually can be chalked up to a waste of time but they are just so fun to do, I always want to know which answer I am!
Working Out
I am 98% sure I would go to the gym much more often if someone paid me every time I went. And a free personal trainer would not hurt either. And a promise I would look like an Angel.
People Watching
I absolutely love people watching – at restaurants I purposely choose the table with my back to the wall so I can take in all of the other diners and if the weather cooperates, I love sitting outside – NYC residents and tourists are so much fun to look at. I just need to remember the large sunglasses. And Brandon’s Humans of New York is taking people watching to a new level and I thank him for it!
Reading Others Blogs
By Bloglovin’s count I have 57 blogs I would like to read everyday and a partial list is below. I do not usually have the time but if someone wanted to pay me I bet I would magically have the time to read not only these but the hundred other I am currently following.
Painting My Nails
This would really encourage me to do them at home and take the time to do them right (and master Emily’s 10 minute manicure). It would also make the enticing salon across the street – $19.99 mani/pedi – less tempting!
Become a Gladiator
I have mentioned this before in my post about Olivia Pope’s style here, I think the Gladiators on Scandal are absolutely awesome. If I could be one, but not have to go to law school or work ridiculous hours or not break the law or lie on a daily basis I definitely would! (But then would I still be gladiator?)
Taking Bubble Baths
From my swimming days I am still queen of the five minute shower as after practice the last thing I would to do is waste more time in the shower. This has not changed much but when I remember to or want to relax a scented, candle-lit bubble bath is the way to go and I would love if someone could pay me to do it!
Drinking Pinot
Pinot Grigio is my favorite type of wine but if you wanted me to sip on an occasional sangria or mimosa at brunch you would not have to twist my arm! If it also had negative calories that would be great.
