Last year I did a full recap post of the 2013 Met Gala Highs and Lows and now this is my my recap of The Best and Worst Dressed at the 2014 Met Gala. The red carpet glitz and glamour of tonight’s event with this year’s theme and resultant dress code—the technologically advanced couturier Charles James and white tie (with decorations, for men) left me with more thumbs down then outfits I liked. First my favorites, including Suki Waterhouse, above, who I was reluctant to include because she is dating my boyfriend but I would be remiss not to include her. Without further ado:

To say the stars were out in full force was an understatement. For hours I was hitting refresh on Vogue Magazines live feed of the stars arriving on the red carpet. At least a dozen celebrities, artists, musicians, and models took my breathe away but believe it or not, there were a ton of looks I did not like. There were dresses that I actually looked at and just said eek – why did your stylist let you out of the house wearing that? And these ladies are all beautiful, but tonight, they really just missed the mark. The worst part is, some of them I usually love (Lupita, I am looking at you):

We agree on quite a few. Blake and Ryan are just so pretty. They looked great. Loved Rachel McAdams. Would kill for Rosie’s dress and heels. And Olivia Munn looks smokin’ hot!
WTF is up with Katie Holmes though? Not a fan.

I love your “love” list but I would have included Emma Stone. She killed it. I agree with all of your “dislikes” except for Lupita Nyong’o — I thought she had such a fresh look! I really liked it!

totally agree with your hate on Kate Upton. Between her and Sandra Lee…they tied for worst dressed! Suki Waterhouse and SJP were my favorites of the night!
