Do you ever finish a book and get really, really sad? Well, The Art Forger by B.A. Shapiro put me in a brief state of melancholy – when I read the last page I was so sad that the book was over. I wanted to know what happened to Claire and what life had in store for her after the last page of her novel. At the end of the 384th page I was wishing there were 1,000 more!If you have been around Sparkles and Shoes for a while you will know that I am huge fan of audio books (here and here) but I am happy to say this was one I read in paper back. When I arrived in Florida for Thanksgiving vacation my mom had this book waiting for me and I was a bit wary – I had a book tape all ready to go on my phone, but I decided to choose the old fashioned one and I am so glad I did, thanks mom! The Art Forger was one of those books I just could put down and I am so glad I read it on vacation because it was hard to pry me away.
Why did this book come up? Well…… I absolutely hate when book reviews reveal or even elude to the ending so I will not. All I will say is, you don’t see it coming! Instead, I will blatantly borrow from Amazon the description of the book on the jacket:

Does it sound intriguing? I hope so. I am by no way forcing this book upon you, I just hope I liked in this much, than you will too! Then again, it is easy to whip through any book when you are sitting here:
