Cuckoo for Cork Accessories

This summer I have seen cork accessories everywhere, from the glossy pages of fashion magazines to chic New York City girls in cork pieces ranging from clutches to wedges to bangles and briefcases. These accessories, from what I’ve seen, are perfect to complete any outfit. If you treat cork as a neutral the options are unlimited, but still give a great textural element.  As cork pushes its way through wine racks to the fashion scene, it’s sure to pull the crowd for a good reason this season, so watch out! These are my nine favorite items:

Cuckoo for Cork Accessories

For the first time, in the almost year of Sparkles and Shoes, I am going to walk you through my favorite cork options.  The first, of course, is a pair of shoes – the Oscar de la Renta Cork Pumps. Yes, they heel is almost five inches but the gold platform just makes is just too cute to pass up.  When I first saw this Kate Spade “Cork City” Bracelet I was hesitant because I did not know how it would lay, but last week I spotted a girl in the West Village wearing it and instantly fell in love.  As with the shoes, I love cork with a pop of gold so this Tamara Champagne Gold Fleck Tote with its’ nine inch handle drop, would be such a cute accessory!
Now with watches I am usually not very adventurous and stick with my Michael Kors tortoise Chronograph Watch but I love this Luxury Cork Analog Wristwatch.  The bold numbers on the face are such a fresh, modern twist with the classic cork.  I was wary about including a second bracelet, after the first Kate Spade one, but in my search for the perfect cork accessories I found this Braided Cork Channel Bracelet and I love the details of the two strand, natural braided cork.  To add a neutral pop to any outfit this J.Crew Cork belt is a perfectly polished piece! 
I try not to go back to back with same brand pieces in a collage but of the dozens of cork phone cases I looked at this J.Crew Cork Case for iPhone is by far the cutest.  The lack of bold branding really lets the natural grain of the cork stand out.  Perhaps my favorite item of all, the Kate Spade Gold Coast Cork Bag with its’ quilted exterior with patent leather trim and gold accents is just devine. To end the selection of my top picks is this adorable 8GB Cork USB Drive, if you have to have one, why not have one that looks like this!  
I have decided that cork is going to be my new neutral!
