Halloweekend

To all those on the East Coast of the United States, I hope you are getting ready for Hurricane Sandy! From New York City it is not looking good and even though I stocked up at the grocery store this morning this storm is coming. A few hours ago I received an email from my office that it will be closed tomorrow and will continue to be until public transportation is up and running again.  Additionally, a few minutes ago the building where I live was notified by Con-Ed that they have already shut off the hot water and the gas and it will remain off until storm is completely over.  With all of that, I am going write the post I wanted to publish tomorrow as there will be a good chance I will not have electricity or Internet tomorrow.

I said earlier this week that I was going to be Honey Boo Boo for Halloween and the outfit turned out amazing! Never one to take a pass at dressing up Friday, I went as a leopard cat and Saturday as the pageant princess herself:

Saturday night I went to an event with great group of girls who from left to right were: The Flash, Hunger Games’ Katniss, Ursula, Posion Ivy, the Pink Power Ranger, 1920’s Flapper, Wonder Woman, Zenon Gilr of the 21st Century, Honey Badger, 80’s Madonna, me as Honey Boo Boo and the Statue of Liberty.

    That hurricane is just too scary… I live in germany, we dont have hurricanes here but I can totally imagine how people are frightend. I hope everything will be fine for you guys over there!

    Your Halloween costumes are so cute. I really hope the storm does not affect you or your family members too adversely – it must be really scary to hear all these warnings announced to you and precautions being taken. Here in Singapore we never experience natural disasters, so we’re really lucky. Take care, alright! πŸ™‚ x
