It may not seem like a big deal to some but for the past nine days I have been completely locked out of my blog and it made me realize just how much I love this little creative outlet of mine. You may not have noticed because the front end was working fine but the back end sure had some scary error messages. Sure – I have been busy with client meetings across two countries and I had a fun weekend in Amsterdam in between but the question “is it gone forever” has been in the back of my mind for more than a week now. And thus, I can not tell you how relieved I was to finally be able to login last night.
Thankfully at the beginning of the year I willingly admitted that there are some things I do not know and hired a professional to help me transfer Sparkles & Shoes to a faster server and fix a couple minor glitches. We worked really well together and fast forward a few months – he basically was my super hero when I sent him a panicked message that I was locked out of my blog and to please help. I was resigned to the fact that at the very least I would loose some of my most recent posts if we restored a back up but thank goodness for professions who know what we are doing – Sparkles and Shoes (both the front and back end) are back up and running and are as good as new – yay!
So now, get ready for a new fashion post tomorrow (I have missed Fashion Friday more than you might think) and a whole lot of travel posts coming your way – from a Berlin bike tour to a Brugges beer tour and a whole lot more safari, it is going to be a good one!
So the real question is, did you miss me?

You must have been so scared. I know that I would have been. I HATE when those things happen.
I tried to change something that was being shipped automatically from Amazon and tried to log in on another device and I kept on getting the run around from Amazon. Thankfully it was nothing too important but it made me realize how helpless I was in the face of technology.

I was wondering if it was a problem on my end. Technical issues are one of the things I am not good at.
