I may have lived in New York City for six years and grew up in the suburbs for another 18 but there are things I am rediscovering. Some are pleasant, some are not but one of the nice surprises is that even when it is cold, it is often sunny. This means I have reached for a pair of sunnies nearly every day I have been here because sunshine on chilly days is still quite bright! In my suitcase I packed two of my favorite pairs of LeSpecs shades – these and these – as well as my Blue Rayban Aviator Sunglasses.
These sunglasses made my 2021 post, the Most Worn Items in my Summer Wardrobe, and unlike some of the products featured in this Really Love My ... series, these sunnies are still avalaible. Nordstrom calls them Standard Icons 58mm Mirrored Polarized Aviator Sunglasses in the color Gold/ Blue Mirror, , but that is just far too much, don’t you agree? I am going to stick with Blue Rayban Aviator Sunglasses.
While these were in my post three years ago I have certainly owned them for longer than that. I am not sure exactly how long I have had them but but at least since 2019 because I have pictures of me wearing them when I first took Mark to Brooklyn. You can see the many ways I hvae styled them below and above each photo I have included the location as they have certianly traveled quite a bit:
Box Hill, Surrey, England
Lakeshore East Park, Chicago, Illinois
CapeCod, Massachusetts
The Aswan High Dam, Aswan, Egpyt
Pigeon Island Gros Islet, St. Lucia
St Mary’s Church Garden, Islington, London
On countless COVID lockdown walks in London (it seems Mark is partial to blue t-shirsts?)
Smorgasburg Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York City
Mount Cardigan Summit, Orange, New Hampshire
Pigeon Island Gros Islet, St. Lucia
Durdle Door in the Jurassic Coast, London
As you can see, these are a definite favorite and I have loved mirrored sunglasses as a type of sunnies for at least a decade, going back to my Mirrored Aviators post published in 2014.
Would you wear these blue Rayban aviators?

If I looked as good as you did, I certainly would wear them all the time. They do seem to go with every outfit that you have and it’s a lovely walk down memory lane for all of your travels.

Your two white dresses’ are so cute and I especially like the one from the 4th of July.
Those Ray Bans surely were a good purchase and they really do go with almost any outfit.
