Olive Green, It’s On Trend

09/25/19 | Fashion and Style, Giorgio Armani, J Crew, Michael Kors, Shopbop, Trending

Having spent the better part of the last two weeks at London Fashion Week and Milan Fashion Week I feel in a very authoritative position to share today’s latest trend report with you all.  And that would be olive green.   This color was on the runway six months ago in abundance and if you have been in any shops lately, you will surely have seen a lot of it – especially if you have been browsing any of the top stores lately, like the Shopbop sale which launched this morning (though keep reading for more on that)!

What is the difference between military-green and olive green? If you look at the Google Image results for this query you will see that military or army green is a bit darker in hue than olive green but it is nearly splitting hairs, the colors are very similar thus a few of the items in this olive green round up have those names, nine in total:

Sparkles and Shoes Olvie Green Trend Fall 2019

1 | Cinq a Sept Tous Les Jours Joyce Jumpsuit
2 | Away The Carry-On
3 | MIA Mckinley Sock Bootie
4 | Giorgio Armani Small Leather Flap-Top Crossbody Bag in Olive Green

5 | Michael Kors Women’s Pyper Three-Hand Green Leather Watch
6 | GIULIVA HERITAGE COLLECTION The Esthia virgin-wool sweater

7 | A.P.C. Janet wide-brim felt hat
8 | MALONE SOULIERS Daisy satin boots
9 | CHELSEA BOOT ’48 by Parker

An honorable mention goes to the classic Ray-Ban Aviator Gradient RB3025 Gold and this super cozy Madewell Harley Crew Neck Tee but after closer examination they are not really, completely olive so they did not make the cut for the collage above. And like while most of these roundups, while I think this Brandon Maxwell Pleated Poplin Shirt Dress is absolutely gorgeous, £1,728 or $2,149 is a bit too crazy to include without telling you the price – talk about #stickershock.

Lastly, it is that wonderful time of year again, time for the Shopbop sale!  This one is the End of the Season sale with 20% off orders under $500 and if you are in the mood to spend more,  25% off orders over $500.  The best news?  It covers both full-price and sale items and runs through Friday the 27th (my birthday).  What are you waiting for?  Use the code STOCKUP19 to get saving and in case this post has given you olive green lust, take a look at the 110 items Shopbop has in this hue and you can head here to read all of the details!

What do you think of the olive green trend?

I’ve been looking for a non black boot to wear with my jeans for a casual look and this MIA Mckinley Sock Bootie
I think will do the trick. I am tired of my lighter colored boots getting dirty-scuffed up looking within a few wearings.

I might even be able to pair it with some thick black tights with some of my winterish skirts.

Those Malone Souliers Daisy satin boots are to die for. So sexy I can’t wait to try on a pair.

Will be nice to have some boots that are not your basic black or brown that will really make several of my outfits stand out.

    Good call.

Maybe it’s just me but I really don’t care for this color.

I know it looks good on some people but in general, I will take a pass.
