Happy Friday everyone! I had a great post planned for today featuring a Fall look – or as my British coworker constantly remind me, Autumn, but sometimes you need to mix things up last minute. The combination of getting some really great photos at the Hassan II Mosque Mosque combined with one night of Internet you get a special surprise.
Earlier this week I was in Casablanca, the largest city in Morocco, and this mosque was one of the most beautiful and different religious places I have ever had the chance to visit. It will definitely be getting it’s own post, including some gorgeous photos of the inside, but for now, take a look at what I wore when the weather was 90 degrees (31 Celcius) but shoulder and knees had to be covered:
Dress | Navy Uniqlo Bra Dress
Sunglasses | Marc Jacobs Square Framed Sunglasses Shoes | Jack Rogers Navajo Sandal in Leather
I promise I will show you more of this gorgeous structure include the vast prayer space which in this Muslim house of worship is separate men and women but today is not that day. After we padded around the carpet and cool marble on the very warm day we headed downstairs to the Turkish style baths which were beautifully decorated and where worshipers clean themselves before prayer. Take a look:
Have you ever been inside a mosque?

I can not believe you made it to Casablanca – that is so cool! What else did you do?

I’ve never been in a mosque before and it’s always a challenge when visiting those countries or places that dictate coverage. I never know what to wear. Looks like you nailed it. It’s hard to have your shoulders and knees covered and not be wearing something heavy.
I didn’t know uniglo made dresses. What did you think? It’s a really pretty color on you.

So jealous of your travels. Looks like it was the most amazing trip and love following it on Instagram and on your blog. Look forward to seeing more.
I’ve never been to a mosque. I never really had any interest in going to one but I think I’m going to have to change my mind.

You look as pretty as the tile work. I’m particularly impressed lhow good you look when you are traveling. I usually look like I’m a rumpled vagabond.
The tile work in some of these photos looks like it’s a pure art work. Just fantastic. What an amazing trip you’ve had.

I have never been in one before. The tile work you are showing is to intricate and beautiful.
You must have felt like you were in a movie set. Such a unique opportunity. I will have to try to go to one now.
