Good morning from England! I never know when I am traveling if I will have time to update the blog but I have so many amazing photos from the past few days, I could not wait until I return hometo share. And first, I guess I better explain why I was in Russia for 8 hours on Saturday. When looking up one way flights from New York City to London in the Fall the prices were astronomical but I found a flight that connected through Moscow for 30% of the cost of other options. After doing a bit of research including what there was to do in Moscow, if an 8 hour layover was feasible, and the visa requirements, I decided to go for it.
Therefore at noon on Saturday I landed at the Sheremetyevo International Airport and having checked my bag through to London headed to the Aeroexpress and then connected to the metro. Less than an hour later was standing in Red Square in awe of the architecture and the hustle of the vibrant city. My research had shown me that within a quarter mile there were so many gorgeous things to see including the Bolshoi Theatre, the stunning State Historical Museum, St. Basil’s Cathedral, The Moscow Kremlin, Senate Square and a vast assortment of cathedrals. You better believe I will be sharing quite a few Moscow posts despite the short amount of time I was there but until then, some of my favorite photos off of my phone including these two (here and here) which you may have see on Instagram. Oh, from nearly everyone who I have spoken to it was very odd that I was there on a day with blue sky – I didn’t see a single cloud!
Then from Moscow I headed to London for a few days to see friends and where I have logged in from my London office yesterday and today. I am currently sitting at my temporary desk drinking a cup of proper British tea and just soaking in all of the amazing accents. It has been quite an experience but to say I am excited to leave and head off to Portugal this evening is an understatement – it should be an incredible trip! But until then, a few London photos:
Have you been to Moscow, London, or Lisbon?

I’ve always wondered if Moscow is as pretty as the postcard show you. I guess it is. Those photos are fantastic and I look forward to getting there one day.

You made me so excited. I’m going to Moscow in April and I’ve never been to Russia before. These photos are fantastic and the architecture is so unique. I’ve been to London quite a few times but I’m going to be coming there shortly as well. I adore the photos of the daffodils. Safe travels Kelly.
