On Friday night I ended a very, very long week shopping at the Gilt City Warehouse Sale and had an amazing time. I am so glad I have partnered with the Gilt City on a few projects (the Prosecco cocktail hour and Hamptons wine tasting) and was able to attend the press preview of their legendary event. By the time I was finally made it inside after a 30 minute wait in the rain the massive warehouse had already become so crowded it was too difficult to take any good photos – there were people everywhere – so for context here is the invitation and a photo of the warehouse before the madness ensued.
I think I made out like a bandit picking up five beautiful items at the The Gilt City Warehouse Sale. By far my favorite are these gold snakeskin Stuart Weitzman flats. They are gorgeous, the color in person is dazzling, and they are so comfortable. When I flipped them over I thought the sticker was wrong – $55 for shoes that were originally $385? Nuts and a true must have! I also purchased three dresses all more than 80% off and can not wait to wear the two darker ones soon and the blue one I have already packed away for the Spring.
When I entered the showroom I went straight for the clothes, tried more than a dozen garments on, and then got a glass of Pinot Grigio as I headed to the basement to check out the shoes. The Stuart Weitzman flats were the first pair I saw and I am glad I took the time to inspect all of the racks as that is how I found the best deal of the night, statement pumps. I purchased a pair of real cow hair leopard print heels for just $19, a whopping 93% off list price! Look for them in an outfit post coming soon!
What do you think of my purchases?
