Introducing Mister Baloo

Today’s post was going to be about one of my favorite trends right now – neutral bags with a pop of neon … but what are blogs for other than a way for you to change your mind at the last minute?  Instead of these accessories (look for them next Tuesday) it is about my roommates absolutely adorable hamster:

Let me preface – both of my roommates have hamsters and consider themselves the founders of AWH, Adults with Hamsters.  I have never been in the presence of two hamsters at once, save a rare trip to the pet store, until I moved into this Brooklyn apartment but I have learned they are truly adorable rodents.  My roommate Z has a taciturn female one named MiLady but this post is not about her surly activities, instead it’s about the playful long-haired two year old Syrian hamster Mister Baloo [Buh-loo] who belongs to C.  And apologies for the iPhone shots, courtesy of Z.

My roommate, C, does not look excellent in these post-long day, non-air conditioned kitchen shots, but she is absolutely gorgeous and will be coming soon to Sparkles and Shoes with a makeup tutorial!

    I am all for cute furry creatures, awwww he is so adorable, I wish I could adopt a sweet little hamster as well….but my cat will think its his toy, lol.

    I have a doggie but growing up I had guinea pigs which are in the rodent family with hamsters. Mister Baloo looks like a feisty hamster.

    I once killed my aunt’s fishes, after that no one believe me with pet’s life. So I’m pet-less. Mr Baloo is such adorable πŸ˜‰
