Easter in the District

04/01/13 | Georgetown, J Crew, Washington D.C.

My time in D.C. this past weekend was awful …. APRIL FOOLS, haha! I had an amazing time visiting a great college friend and seeing my younger brother. And as I mentioned before even though I am 5’7″ many of my friends still call me shorty and to prove my point, Liz who I was visiting for the weekend is one of those people standing at a statuesque 6’0″.  I was in Washington, D.C. for less than 48 hours and making this a quick, whirlwind  weekend to say the least – here are some of my favorite shots:

FRIDAY
Friday was quite a long day,  I look very tired but it is the only picture we managed after I got off the very long bus ride that took me from NYC to DC.
SATURDAY
I woke up to some amazing Cinnamon Roll french toast baked by my favorite host and then we definitely burned them off at hot yoga (my first time in years).  Pedicures with two of my favorite blondes were a great reward for a hard workout followed by late sushi but the best part of Saturday was the evening.  Liz and I arrived early to our dinner on the waterfront to take photos in front of the historic Key Bridge, gorgeous Potomic River and impressive Kennedy Center.  Dinner was unbelievably delicious and the conversation with my brother and Liz was so good I forgot to take pictures (gasp).  All in all, a perfect day.

SUNDAY
Even though I had to head home on Sunday Liz and I still made the most of our day.  We went to a lovely Easter mass at the chapel on Georgetown’s campus, ran into the Easter bunny, and went to a delicious champagne brunch.
There were many religions that celebrated this weekend – did you have an enjoyable few days?

Looks like a fun weekend! I love that your friends call you “shorty” and you are 5’7″. I can only imagine what they would call me at 5’2″ 🙂 BTW, love the snakeskin maxi dress…so cute!
