Today is the day, today is the day! If you have not seen on Instagram already I am leaving Brooklyn and moving the Upper East Side today. The packing is done, the movers are coming, and it is all happening! While I deal with all of the craziness I wanted to share this event with you, because I never say no to nail polish.
Last week I had the opportunity to attended the OPI and Clark + Kensington collaboration put on by Ace Hardware and it is safe to say it was the most fun I have had on a Tuesday night in ages. Delicious hors d’ervous, champagne, and a manicure? Yes, please. Any Day.
It always surprises me how many places in New York City I have never been to – this event was held at Pillars 38, an empty white-washed warehouse space in Hell’s Kitchen, which was beautifully transformed to a swanky event. The event was the celebration of Ace Hardware’s launch of the new paint palette in their Clark+Kensington paint+primer line that brings OPI nail lacquer’s most iconic colors to life as paint for your walls! The event directors stated, “The fashion-forward paint palette is the first-ever collaboration of its kind and will help homeowners bring their own personal style into their homes.”
To celebrate this launch Ace brought three interior designers and asked each of them to create a room that incorporated six colors of the collection: a luxurious living room in navy and fuchsia, a bright and airy bedroom, and a beautiful blue bathroom.
When it was time for my manicure I had a choice of all 18 new colors for my manicure and I chose “Can’t Find My Czechbook” to match my favorite room at the event – the elegant and modern bathroom by Orange County based designer Nathan Fischer:
My friend Sam and I had a terrific time at the event, especially learning more about how the collaboration came about and the reasoning behind the color choices. Even the non-OPI Clark + Kensignton colors were bright and happy – I picked up a few swatches as inspiration for my future statement wall!
Thank you ACE and OPI for a great evening!
