Hi Friends! I could not decide if I should post these photos but why not! The second part of my New York Fashion Week this season was not quite as crazy as the first half mainly because I was at work everyday. On the last evening I left work and headed to the home of the shows this season, Skylight Clarkson Square, for an 8pm runway presentation of the Austrian designer Irina Vitjaz. The invitation always reminds you to get there 30 minutes early and with not much traffic I arrived 15 minutes before show time. I was excited to see I was seated in the second row and even more thrilled that a few minutes before the lights dimmed the seat in front of me in the front row was empty and I was able to move forward to an unobstructed view of the beautiful dresses!
As always it took a while for the show to start and I had a great time people watching while I waiting especially since I was sitting directly across from Miss New York 2016 Nicole Kulovany who was easily identifiable with her sash. Dressing for weekday shows is always a bit odd for me as I need an outfit that will pack well (for the gym in the morning), work all day for the office, and then be presentable for a fashion show in the evening. I will likely never be the one the street style photographers take photos of but I am happy with how this black and white look came together for the show!
While there were nearly 30 looks in this show I only chose to capture a few as I was busy Snapchatting and Instastory-ing away but if you want to see the full show you can find it here! The Irina Vitjaz show was very Project Runway-esque with mostly hits and a few misses along with a handful of unfinished hemlines but overall a gorgeous presentation with some gowns I would love to borrow if I ever have to head to a super swanky red carpet event – especially that silver beaded one with the black straps! Yes please!!
Which dress is your favorite from the Irina Vitjaz show?
