Oh hello diet, long time to talk. It’s been a long time since I longed into MyFitnessPal – we don’t need to say how long but now that all of my big Summer things are done it is time to get back at it. One of the easiest pieces to address will be my morning routine as if I am not having my Brownie Batter Overnight Protein Oatmeal I go for protein shake. The thing is, my default protein shake is very, very basic – a scoop of protein powder mixed with unsweetened almond milk.
I have mentioned it before but I work with my nutritionist – and this may not work for everyone – to get one gram of protein for every pound of body weight and let me tell you – anything over 100 grams is an effort for me and something I have to actively work in to my diet. One of the best ways is with a smoothie where many of the ingredients have protein and fiber. Here are five protein shakes my list to try soon:
