June is more than half way over (what?) and with that revelation, I wanted to do a check in on the June Dress Challenge and let me tell you, it has been FUN! You can read all about this dress project here but the tl;dr version? I am wearing a different dress to work everyday this month with no repeats and no purchases. It has gone quite well thus far and here is a look at the 13 dresses I have worn to work over the last two weeks.
Wednesday, June 1st: Forever 21 Cobalt Skater Dress (similar)
Matching with my Coworker
Thursday, June 2nd: Ellie Kai Priscilla Dress
Friday, June 3rd: Ralph Lauren Dress
On National Doughnut Day
Tuesday, June 7th: LOFT Lace Tee Dress in Forever Navy
I am pointing to my Dad on the TV screen who rang the closing bell of the New York Stock Exchange, it was a really cool moment to get to see.
Wednesday, June 8th: Ellie Kai Maddie Dress
Thursday, June 9th: Ann Taylor Split Hem Sheath Dress
Friday, June 10th: Papaya Clothing Maxi Dress
Tuesday, June 14th: Vintage Donna Ricco New York (similar)
Wednesday, June 15th: H&M Sleeveless Dress
The only negative I would say about this dress project or challenge so far is that for the first eight work days I reached for my favorites and now, as the month progress, I am pulling out items I have not worn to work in a long time, or ever. Now here comes the challenge. Oh, and I would be remiss to publish this post without thanking my coworkers Gabie, Ashley, Lauren, Ralph, Al, Kim, and Jiro who humored me and took at least one of the photos above; muchas gracias! Oh, and note to self for the second half of this project – try something else besides skinny arm pose with left hand on hip.
Which look is your favorite?
