During the last Shopbop sale I finally bit the bullet and purchased my first pair of Salvatore Ferragamo flats, a item that has been on my wish list for years. When the Shopbop package arrived I ripped it open and pushed aside the clothes reaching for the very, very pretty red box. As soon as I saw that ruby shade a smile crossed my face and I excitedly opened the box. Cue pure happiness.
I had decided to go with the Salvatore Ferragamo Varina Patent Flats in the classic Nero which is a shiny black patent leather and every inch of them is just so pretty. As the company likes to say the, “Rich patent leather lends polished appeal to these classic Ferragamo flats. A grosgrain bow loops through the polished logo medallion, and the padded footbed offers extra comfort.” These pretty shoes are made in Italy and are made of the highest quality calfskin leather.
When the box arrived at the office, as I can not get packages at my apartment, I was actually surprised that a few of my coworkers, and then later even a few of my friends, had not heard of the iconic designer, Salvatore Ferragamo. Unlike some of the newer brands Ferragamo shoes have been around for decades, since the Golden Age of Hollywood, where you could find his shoes on the likes of Sophia Loren, Audrey Hepburn, and Ava Gardner. I am so excited I finally have a pair of these gorgeous shoes and now that I have worn them a few times have noticed the rubber heel helps tremendously.
What do you think of these shoes?
