On a cold day few things are better than an amazing grilled cheese sandwich. Two slices of bread and an excellent piece of cheese melted together to a warm combination is quite heavenly. I have not had one in a while but last week a few people brought back grilled cheeses from Beecher’s for lunch and they looked incredible.
While my perfect grilled cheese sandwich is a piece of Jarlsberg between two slices of whole wheat or sourdough bread I do agree you can add delicious extras to make it truly incredible. The only catch – there needs to be more cheese than any thing else (including meat) or you are getting into panini territory. My inspiration for this post came from The Food Network’s list of 50 Grilled Cheeses, below you can find three of my favorites and then I added others I found that looked and sounded equally delicious!
With my struggles trying to get all of my macros in I have not enjoyed a speciality grilled cheese in quite some time but after this post – I might just have to have one on my next cheat day!
