I do. It is my best friend and my arch nemesis. I Snapchatted two weeks ago dark chocolate and Kettle One and over the top wrote “bae.” I promptly got texts that those were not bae. That’s 90% true. And this weekend I decided to take my chocolate love to a whole new level, my hair!
You may recall my post about bronde hair two months ago – well, with the lack of sunshine and chlorine my roots have been coming in dark and I really did not like how it looked. I had been contemplating going dark, but not as dark as last time, for about two weeks when I got a 30% off of everything coupon at CVS. #winning. I went the drugstore an in addition to picking up Kiss nails, lotion, tights, and a whole bunch of other odds and ends I purchased hair dye.
After talking with my friend who dyed her hair purple (hi V!) she suggested Revlon Colorsilk and as I had no preference, I decided to go with that. I spent way to long looking at boxes and comparing my hair color to the shades on the back of the box. The color that looked the closest to what I was going for was 46 Medium Golden Chestnut Brown. The at-home process was fun, abiet a bit messy! The final product looks a bit red-er than I was planning, especially with the camera flash, but once I finished my 10-minute post-dye freak out I have to say, I am happy with how it turned out!
I posted the first snapshot on Instagram Sunday morning and while people liked it they asked for a picture of it dry. Believe it or not, I showered at 11am post workout and ran around for the day and came home at 6pm, my hair was still wet in the bun. I will definitely be wearing my hair up and I like how the color looks with my pale complexion!
What do you think of my chocolate brown hair?
