For Sparkles and Shoes 3rd Birthday party I made watermelon margaritas my friends are still talking about. One told me they must not be very dietetic (true), one said their watermelon margarita did not taste like a mix (nope), and one said they were the best she ever had (such a compliment). With only four ingredients I highly recommend you make a batch of these crowd pleasing margs for any occasion, just factor in the prep time and freezer space. This is how I make a fresh watermelon margarita:
To be honest, I have never taken the time to cube a watermelon, at my house we usually enjoy it in triangular wedges, and it takes way more time than I ever thought it would! Once I had a 5 pounds watermelon cubed and frozen overnight it was time to blend!
- 5lb. seedless watermelon
- 3 limes
- 1/2 cup of tequila
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- Slice watermelon into large chunks and freeze overnight.
- Combine freshly squeezed lime juice (I used two limes), tequila, and 1/2 cup of sugar in a blender.
- Blend and pour into glasses.
Take my advice and make a batch this weekend, you won’t regret it!
