As a Sephora junkie and huge Urban Decay fan when I got the alert from both companies about the new Naked on the Run palette I knew I had to have it. I waited a few weeks for the Sephora VIP Rouge shopping event to pick it up and was not disappointed.
In case you are not as UD obsessed as I am and don’t know all about the latest addition to the family, this limited-edition, all-in-one travel palette is loaded with exclusive eye shadows, blush, bronzer, lip gloss, and a tube of mascara—everything you need for a complete Naked makeup look.
I love that all six of the shadows are new for this palette and was pleasantly surprised about the quality of the full-size lip gloss and the pigmentation of the blush, two Urban Decay products I had not tried before. After reading dozens of reviews I tend to disagree with the general consensus that this palette is missing brushes. In my experience, the little brushes and applicators that come with sets like this are not high quality and are easily lost.
Before diving into the palette to create this look I primed with four items – I covered my face with Dream Fresh BB Cream by Maybelline, filled in my brows with Benefit’s Instant Brown Pencil, primed my lids with 24 Hour Photo Finish Shadow Primer by Smashbox, and applied Benefit’s Erase Paste Concealer to my under eye circles:
I think I had the most fun mixing the eyeshadows for a layered look that was bronzed but not too sultry. It is true, the pink blush is VERY pink and a little goes a long way. The liner and mascara were already tried and true favorites and I did not notice a color difference from the black I usually use. I used the bronzer as contouring highlight as well as the lightest eye shadow. Overall, a great palette.
And because I think this palette is my favorite makeup find of the year I decided that one of you needed it too! Use the Rafflecopter form below to win a Urban Decay Naked On The Run makeup palette if you are a U.S. resident:
