On Saturday I visited Smorgasburg, a wonderful outdoor food flea market, for sixth time. I went with my brother and it was a great hour of sibling bonding as we looked at all of the options available. I went with elote and he choose chicken parm sliders. Both reminded me of the trip a month earlier when I took my DSLR to the flea market when my Esme was visiting from England. When friends are in town I love to take them to Smorgasburg – over the past year I have taken a boyfriend, my parents, Esme, and Kevin. It was also included on my New York City Backstage Pass.
Now that I live on the Upper East Side it is no longer a ten minute walk from my Greenpoint apartment but a 40-minute subway ride ,but honestly, it is so worth it. There is every single type of food you could want and when you consider that each vendor / restaurant is serving their one speciality it makes sense that I have never had a bad thing to eat there! . And now – pictures of food:
And the views are pretty incredible!
The Smorgasburg Willaimbsburg Outdoor Food Flea Market is every Saturday from 11am-6pm with 100 vendors are all their specialties in the East River State Park (90 Kent Ave at N. 7 St.).
