I have been waiting to try this card out on an outfit post since I received it over Christmas from the wonderful people at Eye-Fi but there is no way I am taking photos with my tripod in below freezing weather – props to any fashion blogger who is!
Instead, I decided to try the card out on Saturday night when I took a cooking class with my friend Lindsay. Honestly, it was super easy – take the photos with your camera, sync them on your phone and upload to the internet – of course I chose Instagram! In retrospect a cooking class might not have been the best choice to debut my Eye-Fi card because while we were dicing, whipping, julienning, stirring, and half a dozen other things it was hard to stop, take photos, upload, and not fall behind!
After the cooking class I went with Lindsay to Anthrpologie in Chelsea Market. Honestly, that store is so dangerous. Walking around the home goods section I found at least a dozen things I wanted to rip off the shelves and take back to my apartment. None of them were as pretty though as this Scarlet Floppy Hat by Eugenia Kim that I found in the sale section. The original price was $358 and while I do love a good sale, $129 still seemed like a lot to spend. I went online to see if it was the same price and unfortunately it is sold out there as well. At least I was able to capture it with my Eye-Fi card.
With the card there is a bit of set up on the initial end where you do need to download the app (seen above), set up the card with the activation code, and create the wireless network on your phone. From there you are done and can start getting wonderful photos. The new Mobi card, which I recieved, has some of the similar features that people know and love about Eye-Fi:
- Share Instantly:
- Backup Automatically
- Transfer Anywhere
- Achieve Lightening Fast Quality
- Camera Support
