What is in a Name? Kelly Takeover

For perhaps the first time, this post is not about me - well, not really about me and is probably the longest to date. One of my absolute favorite things is my name, Kelly.  When I was little it was Kelly-elly and while nobody says that anymore I do not have a shortage of nicknames between friends and close family. I believe in the adage, the more nicknames you have, the more you are loved! 

Growing up I really wished my name was Samantha like my American Girl doll and when I asked my mom why she picked my name I got a great response - she wanted a pretty name that could not get shortened to a nickname (i.e. Samantha > Sam, Catherine > Katie, ect.).  And the fact that it was Irish probably didn't hurt either.  

While Kelly is a fairly popular name I still get excited when other people comment on my blog with the same name.  I never really thought twice about it until Rachel from Life Unsweetened did this great post about Rachel's.    She graciously okayed for me to replicate her idea so here it is with my own twist - five amazing Kelly's that I have come across in the blogosphere! I have included a quick blurb about them and then a photo.  When you check out their blogs I know you will like them as much as I do! 

Kelly blogs at Enter Kelly about her outfits, life and thoughts.  She shares what inspires her and has for about two years.  This 23 year old from Ottawa, Canada puts such a great spin on her food and the chilly Canadian winters. She is incredibly real and she and I are very VERY similar, for example, "I eat pasta almost every day. I can't help it, it's probably my favourite thing in the world. That and chocolate, but who doesn't like chocolate?"

Kelly Elise Jaspers has been blogging at The Fussy Life for a year and a half now.  This 21-year old from Heeze Netherlands has an amazing site that serves as s a fashion diary about the outfits she wears with a Fussy, cute, and a chique finish.  I find her outfits adorable but we are very different in that she is picky and think three times before buying something!

Kelly is an adorable 30-something who blogs over at Honor, Courage and Commitment.  It  is mostly a lifestyle blog, but she also documents her life with my US Navy Sailor boyfriend, who she adorably refers to as "S". The attend a lot of events around Charleston, South Carolina where they live.  She ended up move to Charleston, "on a lark with No job lined up, nothing. It all ended up working out beyond better than I could've expected. There's more about that in my blog, too."  She has been at this for almost a year and it is definitely worth a read!

Kelly has been blogging for almost a year at Messy Dirty Hair.   This 27 year old Orange County, California resident says her blog is about embracing the imperfections in life! Her quirky charm makes this blog one of my daily reads, especially as she shares such great facts about her life (like that she has two toes stuck together)! 

Kelly Stamps has been blogging for almost SEVEN YEARS at Kelly's Korner.   This 39 year old mainly  blogs about my faith and family mostly with the purpose of encouraging moms and singles and women waiting to be moms from her home in Arkansas. I love Kelly's style and  her two little girls are absolutely adorable. 

I hope you have enjoyed meeting these other Kelly's as much as I have enjoyed getting the opportunity to get to know these amazing ladies who share my name!
