Christmas Continued ...Gift Cards!

It is that time of year when I am already missing the holiday season.  Today begins the first week of 2013 with five work day and right now I would love to be back with my family in Florida, but one bright side, like me, you probably have quite a few gift cards to your favorite stores from those who love you best.  I currently have five and I am excited to purchase things I had my eye on for 2013 without even breaking into my shopping budget:




I am so thankful to my wonderful friends and family for these amazing opportunities to get things I have been wanting!  I have to all five brick-and-mortar stores but have yet to purchase anything as I really want to make sure I get exactly what I want.  Here is what I have had my eye on at each store:

J. CREW

J. Crew has so many great items that serve as basics in my wardrobe and I all of the items I will use my gift card on, or towards, are basics.  My top three choices are the Tippi Cardigan in black (honestly, you can never have enough black sweaters), the tortoise link bracelet (and you all know my fascination of tortoise here) and the colorblock stripe boatneck tee in dark emerald blue. 

FOREVER 21

I have been a long time fan of Forever 21.  They may not have the most well made clothes but they have prices you really can not beat.  Last month I won the Decor to Dress Giveaway on the blog  Haute Khuuture which me to pick out a beautiful dress from Forever21 and my best friend Esme stunned in the Sequin A-Line Dress on New Years Eve. 

 

However, as this dress is mine it is not something I am going to consider buying with my gift card. Instead I have had my eye on: their collard scarf print dress, the quilted print shaft boots in brown, and cable 3/4 knit sweater in mint. 

AMAZON

Amazon, and my Amazon prime membership is one of my favorite things ever!  Picking three items from this site was definitely the hardest selection of any of my gift cards simply because of the wide array of items offered by the company.  I have made my love for asparagus very clear here and I think this All-Clad Stainless Asparagus Pot with Steamer Basket steamer would be absolutely amazing addition to my kitchen!  The two other items I have had my eye on are these adorable Women's Tahoe Earmuffs in Poppy and Colby MP3 Super Bass Digital Stereo Earphones (noise-canceling which would be very helpful for my daily commute). 

SEPHORA

Honestly, knowing me a gift card to my favorite makeup store is such a terrific gift.  I have professed my love here, so picking only three things that I want at Sephora was actually very difficult. Smashbox Sheer Focus Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 in Light is definitely my first choice because I won a small size in a Blogger giveaway recently and I LOVED it!  My second choice Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion Tube as I am running though and it is one of my favorite products and finally the Sephora Glitter Eyeliner and Mascara in Sassy Silver (silver glitter) as my roommate got it for me in gold for Christmas and I loved it! 

STARBUCKS

I have been looking at assorted Christmas mugs and paraphernalia that have been on sale at Starbucks to buy with my gift card but I think I am going to keep this one for hot beverages as New York City winter really starts getting cold.  As I have mentioned here Starbucks is not my favorite coffee chain but I will never turn down a free coffee!
