Black Suede Booties

I mentioned a few weeks ago when I wrote about my brown slouch boots that I had just gotten them back from the cobbler and that trip applied to these wonderful boots as well.  They are a great staple and, for me, the perfect way to finish a look from colored skinnies to my favorite dark denim. 

Shoes are obviously one of my favorite things (if you couldn't tell from the page labeled SHOES or the title of my blog) but in the winter I feel as if my options are limited.   I do not mean limited in that I do not have enough shoes to wear, but really, a girl could always use more, but limited in the style of shoe.  This week it has been absolutely frigid in New York City so while in the winter I usually have a rotation of flats this past week I have wanted to be as covered up as possible.  I have not quite gone to the extreme of some of my friends of wearing tights UNDER my pants but I have definitely wanted to keep covered as much as possible.

Yesterday I wore these adorable booties with Red Color Pop Curvy Skinny Jeans in Red, a grey silk top from Spense, a black cardigan, monogram necklace, a trio of bangles, blue Kiko nail polish and pearl studs.

I think these boots are a great addition and variation from my mid-calf or knee high boots.
