Today is the final day of my 12 Days of Christmas, and I will leave you with a few looks to get you through this holiday season. Here you go:
JUST KIDDING! If to you, dressing up for the Holiday’s means these sweaters, you have the wrong blog. If you laughed, good job, keep reading. I have looked at my planner for the next few weeks and I have four evenings coming up that I want to look amazing for: a date night, a friend’s cocktail party, my company Christmas party, and New Year’s Eve. I went shopping in my imaginary closet (also known as Polyvore) and for this holiday season I have styled entire looks, head to toe, instead of just picking out items. I hope you like what I have selected:
Everyone has holiday parties to go to, I myself am even hosting one this weekend, and I wanted to create a look that steered away from the typical red, green, and black that are common for this time of year. I love this pink silk Kate Spade dress and I think the Alice + Olivia fur shrug really gives it great feminine attitude. I chose to pair it with these Valentino shoes and this amazing Alexander McQueen clutch because the studs give an extra element to this very girl ensemble.
I love the idea of lace all seasons, but particularly black for winter. I added the pop of color with the David Yurman ring and the Christian Lobutian shoes to break up one of my favorite basics, a little black dress. And to top it off I love the sparkles of the Jimmy Choo clutch and the chandelier earrings.
In this outfit I again started with my standard, black on black, with this Kate Spade New York Alme Polka dot dress and cute shoes. The Cartier Love Bracelet is such a classic you really can do no wrong and when mixed with the ring, earrings, and chain bag I think it makes for a great corporate ensemble. Granted, this outfit is pretty demur but you would rather be safe than sorry at a corporate party. I have always loved the advice, don’t dress for the job you have, dress for the job you want. And while I am on this note I would STRONGLY advise against wearing jingle bells, mistletoe or any sort of holiday costume (like antlers).
As you know I love Sparkles and to me this dress is perfect to cap off the holiday season! I have actually rented this necklace from Rent the Runway (here) and it was an amazing piece! And of course, a watch, like this Kate Spade one, is essential for the counting down to midnight. You are sure to be noticed in this outfit!
Hopefully with my 12 days of Christmas you are better prepared to shop, decorate, enjoy, and dress for the holidays. Many kisses!
